This region is very well served with airports. From the new airport at Porto (1 hour south) low cost airline Ryanair fly to London Stansted, Birmingham, Liverpool, Dublin, Paris, Madrid and many other cities in Europe. Easyjet flies to London Gatwick, and Paris.
Ryanair also flies from Santiago de Compostela - Spain (1 1/2 hours north) to the UK. In addition, there are flights from Vigo - Spain (1/2 hour north) to Stansted (Clickair) and Madrid and Barcelona.
